In 1936 two young ladies were sent from a Houston Bible School with the vision of establishing a Spirit-filled church in Tomball. Tomball Assembly of God grew out of tent-meeting services that Willie May Page and Vera Bussell led, and in 1939, the small congregation purchased their first piece of property from the city of Tomball. They promptly built a small, one-room church building, located at 1101 W. Main Street, where the church still resides to this day.
We honor our founders along with generations of others who have gone before us; their faithfulness and investment make it possible for us to enjoy the blessings that we have today!
Pastor Greg and Tammy began serving in full-time vocational ministry in 1987. They have served in several ministry roles including Youth Pastor at Tomball Assembly of God (1989-1993). After pastoring a church in Southeast Texas, they were appointed by the Assemblies of God World Missions to the nation of Georgia in 1998. There they partnered with the Georgian Pentecostal church leadership to assist them in building a ministry training infrastructure. In 2008, they transitioned to San Antonio to serve as Pastor of Small Groups and Discipleship at Westover Hills Assembly of God. In 2016 they returned to Tomball Assembly of God to become the Lead Pastors.

The General Council of the Assemblies of God (USA), one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the United States, was organized in 1914 by a broad coalition of ministers who desired to work together to fulfill common objectives, such as sending missionaries and providing fellowship and accountability. Formed in the midst of the emerging worldwide Pentecostal revival, the Assemblies of God quickly took root in other countries and formed indigenous national organizations. The Assemblies of God (USA) is a constituent member of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, the world's largest Pentecostal fellowship. From the beginning, evangelism and missions have been central to the identity of the Assemblies of God and have resulted in continuing growth at home and abroad.
